Established neighborhoods with a mix of single-family homes and newer construction. A gateway you can take with you when you move saves the hassle of starting service all over again.
FAQ
Common questions about internet in Scottsdale
How much does home internet cost in Scottsdale?
U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in Scottsdale, whether you're in Scottsdale Fashion Square, Paradise Valley or out by Camelback East. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.
How does free internet in Scottsdale work?
Every U-wifi customer in Scottsdale can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.
How fast is U-wifi internet in Scottsdale?
Wired internet speeds in Scottsdale vary widely by street and neighborhood. Some blocks have modern fiber, others see slower cable service, and new subdivisions sometimes wait months for a line to reach them. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Scottsdale at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.
Do monsoon storms and extreme heat affect internet service in Scottsdale?
Scottsdale faces summer monsoon storms, dust storms and extreme heat every year. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of a single cable line, if one tower goes down your gateway shifts to the next available one. During a major monsoon or dust storm, service depends on carrier tower power and backup systems, but you're not waiting on a single provider to send a truck.
Can I get U-wifi in an apartment in Scottsdale?
Yes. High-rise and multi-family buildings around Scottsdale Fashion Square and near Scottsdale Community College often have strong tower signals from multiple carriers. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.
How do I set up U-wifi in Scottsdale?
Enter your Scottsdale address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.
What happens if I move within Scottsdale?
Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.
What areas near Scottsdale does U-wifi serve?
U-wifi is live across Scottsdale and in Tempe, Mesa and Phoenix. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
