FAQ
Common questions about internet in Weston
How much does home internet cost in Weston?
U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in Weston, whether you're in Sawgrass Mills, Country Estates or out by Southwest Ranches. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.
How does free internet in Weston work?
Every U-wifi customer in Weston can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.
How fast is U-wifi internet in Weston?
Wired speeds in Weston vary by street and neighborhood, depending on which provider laid cable and when. U-wifi delivers true broadband over 5G, and the actual speed depends on which carrier tower is strongest at your address. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Weston at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.
Do hurricanes and summer lightning storms affect internet service in Weston?
Hurricane season runs June through November in South Florida, and summer afternoons bring near-daily lightning storms. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of a single cable line, if one tower goes down your gateway shifts to the next available one. During a major hurricane, service depends on carrier tower power and backup systems, but you're not waiting on a single provider to send a truck after the storm passes.
Can I get U-wifi in an apartment in Weston?
Yes. Apartment and condo buildings around Cypress Bay High School and near Sawgrass Mills can use U-wifi as long as the gateway gets a signal by a window. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.
How do I set up U-wifi in Weston?
Enter your Weston address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.
What happens if I move within Weston?
Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.
What areas near Weston does U-wifi serve?
U-wifi is live across Weston and in Pembroke Pines, Davie and Plantation. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
