Wired speeds in Augusta-Richmond County vary widely by neighborhood and street, with some areas seeing fiber and others waiting years for upgrades. U-wifi delivers consistent broadband from the tower network that already covers the metro. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Augusta-Richmond County at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.

Augusta sits inland but still sees tropical systems and severe thunderstorms that can knock out power and damage infrastructure. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of a single cable line, if one tower goes down your gateway shifts to the next available signal. During a major storm, service depends on carrier tower power and backup systems, but you're not waiting on a single provider to send a truck.

Yes. Augusta has a growing number of apartments and lofts in the Augusta Downtown Historic District and near Augusta University, where plug-and-play setup beats waiting for a service window. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.

Enter your Augusta-Richmond County address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.

Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.

U-wifi is live across Augusta-Richmond County and in Athens-Clarke County. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
