Fast home internet in
South Bend, IN

U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in South Bend, whether you're in Downtown South Bend, Portage Township or out by Union Station. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.

Every U-wifi customer in South Bend can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.

Wired speeds in South Bend vary widely by neighborhood and street. Some blocks have modern fiber, others have old cable infrastructure, and many addresses have limited options or none at all. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of South Bend at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.

South Bend sees spring tornadoes and winter ice storms that can knock out power and damage infrastructure. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of a single cable line, if one tower goes down your gateway shifts to the next available signal. During a major tornado or ice storm, service depends on carrier tower power and whether the towers themselves are damaged, but you're not waiting on a single provider to send a repair truck.

Yes. Apartments near Downtown South Bend and the West LaSalle Avenue Historic District are a great fit for plug-and-play service with no landlord approval required. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.

Enter your South Bend address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.

Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.

U-wifi is live across South Bend and in Mishawaka, Elkhart and Gary. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
