Fast home internet in
Lafayette, LA

U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in Lafayette, whether you're in River Ranch, Scott or out by University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.

Every U-wifi customer in Lafayette can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.

Wired speeds in Lafayette vary by street and neighborhood, depending on how recently infrastructure was upgraded. U-wifi delivers true broadband over whichever carrier network is strongest at your address, with unlimited data and no throttling. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Lafayette at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.

Lafayette sits in the path of hurricanes and Gulf storms that bring flooding and long wired outages across Acadiana. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of a single cable line, if one tower goes down your gateway shifts to the next available one. During a major storm, service depends on carrier tower power and not on a truck reaching your street, but you should always have backup plans for essentials during severe weather.

Yes. Apartments around University of Louisiana at Lafayette and River Ranch get the same plug-and-play setup: unbox the gateway, plug it in, join the network. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.

Enter your Lafayette address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.

Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.

U-wifi is live across Lafayette and in Baton Rouge, Lake Charles and Alexandria. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
