Fast home internet in
Sterling Heights, MI

U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in Sterling Heights, whether you're in General Motors Technical Center, Lakeside Mall or out by Utica. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.

Every U-wifi customer in Sterling Heights can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.

Wired speeds in Sterling Heights vary widely by street and neighborhood. Some blocks have fiber, others see slower cable or DSL, and newer subdivisions may wait months for any wired option at all. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Sterling Heights at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.

Lake-effect snow and ice storms hit Macomb County hard most winters, and a single cable line can go down when a branch falls or a pole ices over. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of one fixed line, if one tower loses signal your gateway shifts to the next available network automatically. During a major ice storm, service depends on carrier tower power and backup systems, but you're not waiting on a single provider to clear the outage queue.

Yes. Apartment buildings around Lakeside Mall and the General Motors Technical Center often lock residents into a single wired provider; a carrier-based gateway gives you a choice. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.

Enter your Sterling Heights address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.

Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.

U-wifi is live across Sterling Heights and in Warren, Troy and Roseville. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
