Coverage by area
Neighborhoods we cover in Findlay
- 01
University of Findlay
Campus housing, off-campus rentals, and faculty neighborhoods all around the university. Students and staff move in on tight schedules; a plug-and-play gateway means internet the same day without waiting for an installation window.
- 02
Marion Township
Newer subdivisions and rural routes where cable rollout lags behind construction. Tower-based service covers the whole township without trenching fiber to every driveway.
- 03
Liberty Township
Mix of farms, small-lot homes, and Liberty-Benton High School families spread across the township. A multi-carrier gateway finds signal where a single wired line would cost thousands to extend.
- 04
Findlay Village Mall
Retail corridors and nearby apartment complexes along the main commercial strip. High turnover means frequent moves; pack your gateway, plug it in at the new place, and update your address in the app.
- 05
Allen Township
Low-density residential and agricultural land where wired providers often skip service entirely. U-wifi reaches every address with a view of a carrier tower, no trenching required.
- 06
Jackson Township
Rural routes and scattered housing outside the city limits. A tower connection works where cable and fiber lines end, and you never pay for a service call.
FAQ
Common questions about internet in Findlay
How much does home internet cost in Findlay?
U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in Findlay, whether you're in University of Findlay, Marion Township or out by Liberty Township. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.
How does free internet in Findlay work?
Every U-wifi customer in Findlay can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.
How fast is U-wifi internet in Findlay?
Wired speeds in Findlay vary widely by street and neighborhood, especially outside the downtown core. U-wifi delivers true broadband over whichever carrier network is strongest at your address, with unlimited data and no throttling. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Findlay at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.
Do winter storms and tornadoes in Findlay affect my internet service?
Findlay sees ice storms in winter and severe weather with tornadoes in spring, both of which can knock out power and damage infrastructure. Because U-wifi connects to multiple carrier towers instead of a single cable line, your gateway automatically fails over to another network if one goes down. During a major ice storm or tornado, service depends on carrier tower power and backup systems, but you're not waiting on a single provider to restore a buried line.
Can I get U-wifi in an apartment in Findlay?
Yes. Apartment-heavy areas around the University of Findlay and near Findlay Village Mall are ideal for plug-and-play service with no landlord approval required. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.
How do I set up U-wifi in Findlay?
Enter your Findlay address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.
What happens if I move within Findlay?
Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.
What areas near Findlay does U-wifi serve?
U-wifi is live across Findlay and in Lima, Toledo and Mansfield. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
