Every U-wifi customer in New Braunfels can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.

Wired speeds in New Braunfels vary widely by street and neighborhood, especially in newer subdivisions where infrastructure is still catching up. Tower-based 5G delivers true broadband without waiting for a line to reach your block. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of New Braunfels at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.

New Braunfels sits in the path of Gulf hurricanes, and the region sees hail and ice storms that can knock out power lines and wired internet. Because U-wifi runs on multiple carrier networks instead of a single cable line, if one tower goes down your gateway shifts to the next available one. During a major storm, service depends on carrier tower power, but you're not waiting on a single provider to send a truck.

Yes. Apartments and multi-family buildings are common near Canyon High School and around the Comal County Courthouse, where a plug-and-play gateway means no landlord approval required. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.

Enter your New Braunfels address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.

Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.

U-wifi is live across New Braunfels and in San Marcos, San Antonio and Austin. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
