Weslaco, TX

U-wifi Home Unlimited is $55 a month anywhere we're live in Weslaco, whether you're in Villa Verde, Mercedes or out by Progreso Lakes. The next-gen gateway, two-day shipping and your first 30 days are free, and there's no contract. Or pay nothing at all with FreeU: watch ads you choose in the U-wifi app and earn credit toward your bill.

Every U-wifi customer in Weslaco can switch on FreeU inside the U-wifi app. Our Choice Advertising model lets you pick the ads you see, and watching them earns credit against your monthly service. Watch enough and the $55 is covered. Keep watching past that and you earn U-Bonus points toward merchandise in the U-store. Same gateway, same unlimited data, same speeds.

Wired speeds in Weslaco vary widely by street and neighborhood. Some blocks see fiber, others wait years for an upgrade. Tower-based speeds depend on your distance from the nearest carrier site and local congestion. U-wifi doesn't tie you to one network. Our gateway picks the strongest 5G signal at your address across the major national carriers and switches if a better one appears, so you get the best speed available in your part of Weslaco at any given hour. For the best signal, put the gateway near a window on the highest floor, facing the nearest tower.

The Rio Grande Valley sits in the path of Gulf hurricanes, and the region sees hail and ice storms that can knock out power and damage lines. Because U-wifi connects to multiple carrier towers instead of a single cable or fiber line, if one network goes down your gateway automatically fails over to the next available signal. During a major hurricane or severe storm, service depends on carrier tower power and backup systems, but you're not waiting on a single provider to dispatch a repair truck to your street.

Yes. Apartment-heavy areas around Weslaco High School and The Science Academy of South Texas can plug in the gateway without landlord permission or wall-mounted equipment. The gateway plugs into any outlet and works best near a window. No drilling, no antennas on the roof and nothing to remove when you move out. The gateway's wifi covers a typical 2,500 square foot home and supports up to 256 devices, so a one-bedroom or a shared house is fine.

Enter your Weslaco address to confirm coverage, order, and the gateway arrives within two days. Plug it in, find the U-wifi network on your phone or laptop, and enter the password printed on the bottom of the gateway. That's the whole install. No technician, no appointment window, and your first 30 days are a free trial.

Pack the gateway, plug it in at the new address and connect as usual. Then sign in to your U-wifi account and update your address. Nothing to return, nothing to reschedule, and the price stays the same.

U-wifi is live across Weslaco and in Pharr, Edinburg and McAllen. Enter your address to confirm availability at your home. If you're on the edge of coverage, the gateway also supports an external antenna for weaker 5G areas.
